Welcome to my new blog: Things to do in London

Welcome to my mini guide for London. This guide is for you who want to do something different when spending time in London.

Part 2 - new and different things to do in London

12. Explore London’s historic scenery by foot. Instead of paying lots of money for a seat on a packed bus I would recommend a FREE London Royal Walk or London Historic walk. I know it is free to walk around in London, but these walks are included guidance by a Spanish and English guide. Clink! Hostel in Kings Cross is one of the hostels providing this service. Clink! Is by the way a ok hostel to stay at if you choose one of the smaller rooms. Located in 78 Kings Cross Road.

13. Pay a visit to the beautiful Kew Gardens, between Richmond and Kew in South West London. Kew Gardens are 121 hectares of gardens and botanical glasshouses. If you like photography, you will spend hours in here with lots of colours and shapes. Why not try the treetop walkway, is walkway is 18 metres (59 ft) high and 200 metres (660 ft) long and takes visitors into the tree canopy of a woodland glade.

14. Gastro Pubs are something unique to England and in London they are everywhere. The Harwood Arms is the first gastro pub to be honoured with a star in the famous Michelin guide. The tables and furniture are simple, rustic stuff, the chairs don't match and the wood floor looks as though it has sustained the beer spills of years. But be aware, it blow you away, food is excellent and the service if possible even better. www.harwoodarms.co.uk . The Coach and Horses, in historic and lively Clerkenwell, is a classic Victorian London Pub. Great food and atmosphere that even your mum would like. www.thecoachandhorses.com

15. Cinema is always great fun, but Secret Cinema is even more fun. First of all, you have no idea where the next film is going to be, locations will vary, anything from city farms, derelict theatres, parks, rooftops or five star hotel car parks. Special guests are invited every now and then. Sign up at their website and join in at the next screening. www.secretcinema.org/

16. While we are talking about secret why not try to use Lastminute.com Secret Hotel service. How does it work? You choose preferred star rating and city – Lastminute.com find the best deals according to your input, don’t worry, they send you an email with all information needed. 17. Why not play Golf at Ally Pally with a breathtaking panorama of the city? No green card or skills needed at the 10 hole pitch and putt course. It is great fun if the weather is good and if the weather is not too good you can go inside and enjoy the all year Ice skating rink. It costs £6.5 and Golf costs £5 for adults. 18. If you want more action packed fun you should try indoor paintball at Tower Paintball located just 2 minutes walk from London Bridge Station. Tower Paintball have three varied game zones spanning 50000 square feet of space. More info and booking http://www.towerpaintball.com/

19.   It might be dangerous, both for body and self esteem, but Roller Disco is great fun. Renaissance Rooms, Vauxhall is one of the most friendly and fun-packed nights in London, complete with the best seventies hits, funky house music and rare soul grooves. With its musically and visually kitsch-cool atmosphere and retro appeal, Roller Disco is THE hotspot for clubbing on wheels. More info and booking at their website www.renaissancerooms.co.uk/

20. Harness Sphereing is the crazy new concept that has hit the UK by storm and rapidly earned itself a 'must-do' status. In essence you are strapped inside a 12foot inflatable ball rolling down a steep hill, but in practice Harness Sphereing is so much more! Once strapped in and ready to go, the adrenalin will start pumping as you begin to roll and spin toward speeds of up to 30mph! More info and booking available at   http://www.exelement.co.uk/experience/harness-sphereing-for-2-40.php

21. Visit one of the world’s most famous pub; Cheers in London. We cannot promise you will meet any of the cast from the legendary TV show, but you can have a piece of the atmosphere. The pub is located in 72 Regent Street and is entry of £3 during the week after 11.30pm and £6 all day Friday and Saturday.

22. To be continued, so please call back soooooon:)
